Award-winning singer-songwriter and humanitarian Kathy Bee will sing at the opening ceremonies of the 2025 Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show, themed “Festival of Speed,” on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Renowned for her stirring renditions of the National Anthem at prestigious events—including NHRA Drag Races, award shows, and national conventions—Kathy Bee brings her signature blend of clarity and spirit to this high-octane celebration of automotive culture.
The Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show, benefiting Boys Republic, will feature a weekend of events:
- Welcome Party: Friday, May 30, 2025, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM
- Steve McQueen Charity Gala: Saturday, May 31, 2025, with a reception at 4:30 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM
- Car and Motorcycle Show: Sunday, June 1, 2025, with gates opening at 8:00 AM and an awards ceremony at 1:30 PM
Kathy Bee is also the wife of the legendary two-time Drag Racing Champion, Don Hampton, who wholeheartedly supports The Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show by proudly displaying and firing up his Top-Fuel Dragster, a replica from the 70’s, at the event.
Beyond her musical accolades, Kathy Bee serves as the newly appointed President of the Bellflower Sister City Organization, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering global friendship and peace through cultural exchange. In partnership with Bellflower’s sister city, Los Mochis, Mexico, she champions initiatives that bridge communities and hearts.
Central to Kathy Bee’s mission is the “Torch of Love” project—a harmonious movement aimed at uniting one million voices in song by the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This initiative includes the distribution of free coloring books that educate children about the Statue of Liberty and the values of unity, peace, and love. Everyone is invited to participate, regardless of musical ability, in this global chorus of hope.
