2021 Dinner and Show Postponed Until October 02-03, 2021

A letter from the show co-chairman, Ron Harris

Dear Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show,

Wow, what a Merry-Go-Round we have been on for the last year. Most of all, I hope and pray that you and your family are “safe and healthy.” The primary reason for this letter is to wish you well and announce the difficult decision to postpone our event until this fall. The show committee feel confident that with the increase in vaccinations, inoculations, and gradual re-openings, we can work with local and state officials to commence the show safely the weekend of October 2 & 3, 2021

We don’t take changing dates lightly and we are just as eager as you to put on a great show, but safety must be our first concern. We’re hopeful and optimistic this will be the final postponement.

We are still going with the theme from the movie “Le Mans.” We also have some special announcements and tributes planned, that I can’t reveal at this time. But we’re quite sure you’ll enjoy and appreciate them. Our dinner is planned for Saturday night with the car show to be held on Sunday. It is our hope that this will allow you to attend the dinner and experience what a great job these young men and women of the Boys Republic have learned by working in the Culinary Department of the school and taste the great food and desserts they have prepared for you.

The Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show has become one of the most popular car shows in Southern California and we couldn’t do it without you! This show highlights the public’s and your interest in helping these boys and girls have a second chance in their lives. By your attendance and support, you are helping them understand the importance of being responsible for themselves and how they can be successful by living the motto of the school, “Nothing Without Labor.”

If you have already pre-registered for the show or sent in sponsorship money, we will happily carry it forward to this event in October or refund your money. If you’d like to receive a refund, please send an email to Boys Republic at carshow@boysrepublic.org and they will process it for you.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions. We do this event as a team of volunteers and are always appreciative of input and support.

Sincerely,

Ron Harris
